Analysis review
Last week, the market for salicylic acid was mainly stable with a small rise, and the price fluctuated slightly. The company adjusted the price at around 200 RMB/ton. Recently, raw material prices have risen, cost support is acceptable, and downstream demand is relatively stable. Enterprises are fully equipped, the shipments are good, and the short-term market is mainly stable. As of July 19, the average price of salicylic acid (industrial grade) from mainstream manufacturers was 14,500 RMB/ton, the companies’quotations of industrial grade salicylic acid were mostly in the range of 12,000-15,500 RMB/ton, and the quotations of pharmaceutical grade salicylic acid were mostly 23,000-26,000 RMB/ton, the price of sublimation salicylic acid was mostly in the range of 17,000-20,000 RMB/ton.
In terms of raw materials, the weekend price of domestic phenol market was 9,700 RMB/ton last week, down 3.19% from the beginning of the week. Some factories made up for the decline again, but the focus of the market became firmer. The atmosphere on the floor was acceptable, and holders were cautiously supporting the prices. Downstream terminal enterprises were still in low interest in buying in the market, and mainly purchased for rigid demand. The acceptance of high prices was not high, and the focus of boosting was limited.
Market outlook
The salicylic acid analyst of SunSirs believes that the price trend of raw phenol is relatively strong, the supporting force is acceptable, and the downstream demand is relatively stable. The salicylic acid manufacturers are fully equipped, the shipment is not pressured, and the price rises slightly. The salicylic acid market is expected to advance steadily in the short term.
